TREATMENT OF EYELID TUMOURS WITHOUT SURGERY

Tumours can develop on the eyelids, as in any area of the skin, and are more common in older people. However, an alternative to this treatment has emerged which consists of the application of a medicine (imiquimod) in the form of an ointment which, when applied for 2 to 4 months, achieves similar results and can avoid surgery for many patients, and in the event that it is necessary because the tumour has not completely disappeared, it reduces the size of the tumour and facilitates surgery.
