I studied high school at I.E.S. Serranía, obtaining a final mark of honours and receiving the extraordinary prize of high school at Andalusian level.
Subsequently, between 2003 and 2009, I studied medicine at the University of Malaga, obtaining 20 honours and 19 A's, achieving a final grade of 3.25 on my transcript.
From 2010 to 2011 I continued with the PhD courses in Radiology and physical medicine, ophthalmology y otorhinolaryngology at the University of Malaga.
Between 2010 and 2014, I completed the MIR in ophthalmology in Carlos Haya Regional University Hospital in Malaga with child rotation in Maternity and Children's Hospital of Malaga and external rotation in Orbit, oculoplasty and lacrimal unit at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid.
In 2014 I worked as a general ophthalmologist at Hospital Quirón Málaga as head of the cornea and refractive surgery unit and head of the paediatric ophthalmology unit.
From 2016 to the present I have worked in Vithas Malaga Hospital and in the Dr. Salvador Nebro Clinic. During that period I have performed more than 2000 cataract surgeries, refractive surgeries and other ocular procedures.
Between 2016 and 2018 I completed the certification by Universidad Valladolid IOBA and obtained the Certificated for three field stereo photography capture protocol of epredice project participating as a collaborator in the study.
In 2017, I continued my academic training with the completion of the Master's degree in clinical ophthalmology given by CEU Universidad Cardenal Herrera and 5 experts:
- University expert in statistics applied to health sciences at the National University of Distance Education in 2016.
- University expert in ocular pathologies and treatment at CEU Universidad Cardenal Herrera in 2016.
- University expert in glaucoma and paediatric ocular pathology at CEU Cardenal Herrera University in 2016.
- University expert in ophthalmic surgery at CEU Cardenal Herrera University in 2016.
- University expert in uveitis and retina at CEU Universidad Cardenal Herrera in 2017.
I am a member of the Spanish Society of Ocular Surgery Implanto Refractive Surgery y of the Andalusian Society of Ophthalmology.
I have received several awards at regional level, winning the second prize in oral communication (MSD) for "Bilateral Posterior Scleritis treated with Adalimumab". in 2011; a runner-up prize in the poster category for "The importance of anatomical pathology in the differential diagnosis of conjunctival lesions". in 2016; and the first prize in 2019 for the poster presentation of "Ocular Goniometer". patented by Doctor Nebro in the Andalusian society. At a national level, I have won second prize in the oftalcase ocular surface competition.
